Our Story
In 2017, Carleigh Berryman had an idea that would catalyze a national conversation about the mental wellness of seniors. She noticed that her grandmother, Glenda, was becoming isolated in her retirement, that boredom was an everyday struggle, and that experiences she once loved were becoming harder to enjoy. One day, Glenda shared with Carleigh that sometimes she felt she had "no reason to get out of the bed in the morning.” Carleigh wanted to see what she could do to help her Granny, her parents, and the millions of other older adults who struggle with late-life depression and anxiety around the world.
Thus, in 2019, Viva Vita was established to empower others to Live Life to the fullest with the help of virtual reality.
Today, Viva Vita is an intergenerational team of innovators that are passionate about serving the older adults of today and tomorrow.
